Protluction Shifts. Keeping with current practice locally, one shift per day was used for <br />this estimate. Using one shift per day would allow for preventative maintenance and minor <br />equipment repair to occur on second shift, if needed. Shifts were based on an eight-hour <br />period per shift and a aeries of job condition correction Pactors were built into the <br />production estimate. <br />Equipment Types. The types of equipment selected were based on similar type equipment <br />presently operating in or around Routt County. whenever possible, Caterpillar equipment <br />was used for reclamation due to widely published information re gardinq costs and <br />performance. All equipment costs were taken from those provided by CDMG. Please see <br />appropriate worksheets in Attachment 23-1 for a list of all cost factors. Equipment <br />performance was based on Caterpillar Handbook No. 29, or otherwise as noted. <br />Equipment and operator performance factors were based on generally published and accepted <br />criteria (see individual worksheetsl. <br />Operator wages were all based on information supplied by CDMG. <br />Reclamation Time Frame. A reasonable time frame for a job of this magnitude is estimated <br />at approximately two months fox backfilling, grading, and topsoiling. The support <br />equipment needed for the fleet size and time frame could then be estimated. Mechanic <br />labor rates were included in the lobe truck cost. <br />Mobilization antl Demobilization Costs. Mobilization and demobilization costs were based <br />on mobilizing the major pieces of equipment from Craig, Colorado. CIRCES Coet Estimating <br />Software was used to calculate the mobilization and demobilization costa for initial <br />reclamation, pond removal and site maintenance. <br />Indirect Costs <br />The following is an estimate of indirect costs associated with the reclamation of the <br />Hayden Gulch Loadout. <br />Contractor Profit and Overhead <br />Profit and overhead for the contractor was estimated using Graph 2, OSMRE Reclamation Bond <br />Handbook.
