I • Revegetation
After the topsoil has been replaced, the seedbed must be prepared prior to seeding. This
is accomplished by ripping and disking the seedbed. Seeding is principally accomplished
using a rangeland drill. All costs, including fencing, are shown on the appropriate
worksheets in Attachment 23-1. A revegetation maintenance fee of 20 percent was also
included in case any of the seeded areas required stand retreatment.
Facility Reclamation
The following facilities, buildings, structures, and miscellaneous support items would
have to be demolished, disposed, and the area reclaimed once operations cease entirely.
The following discusses the reclamation of these structures. The attached worksheets and
tables show the pertinent volume and area calculations.
Structure Demolition. This estimate assumes that all structures within the Hayden Gulch
Loadout facility would have to be demolished and materials disposed. It also assumes that
no salvage value be attached to any of the structures. The CIECES Cost Estimation
Software was used to estimate these costs. Volume determinations were made from existing
maps, Table 12-3 and/or field measured. The cost per cubic foot includes disposal. Most
costs, except where noted, were based on a mixture of construction materials. Concrete is
hauled to railroad cut area. All information regarding structure volumes and costs can be
found on appropriate worksheets in Attachment 23-1.
Powerlines. Powerline demolition was not estimated. Powerlines that run through the
permit area also service the Routt County Maintenance Yard and the Yampa Valley Airport
and therefore the lines will remain in place.
Facility Areas. After the buildings are demolished and disposed, the site is reclaimed.
Three feet Of material will be ripped in the facilities area. The top one foot of
gravel/scoria surfacing on the parking/storage areas will be dozed into a cut or low area
adjacent to the facility. This material will be coveted during the gratling process.
Concrete foundation areas will be hauled to a railroad cut area for disposal. Monitor
wells HGDALI and HGDAL2 were abandoned as part of TR-06, monitor well HGDA13 will be
• abandoned during final reclamation
TR-06 3 Revised OS/OS
