It was sampled in typica l <br />pedon number 21 and in composite sample numbers 159/154. Average lift <br />1 thickness is U inches, average lift '1 thickness is 12 inches, for an <br />average total salvagable thickness for the series of 12 inches. <br />2.1.19 Other Soils <br />The Havre, Inchau, Kamack, Nayisty, Redcreek, Redrob and Shawa <br />series are minor inclusions observed in the study area that are not <br />described in this report. They are described in the soil survey of <br />the Rio Blanco Area (USDA, 195'1) and information on salvage depth was <br />taken from that report. "Other soils" described as minor components <br />of map units are two or more soils too limited in extent to name <br />separately. Salvage ttrickness for tnese "other soils" are.averayes. <br />2.2 Map Units <br />2.2.1 CA Cryaquolls, U to 5~ slopes <br />This miscellaneous land type consists of Typic Cryaquolls on <br />nearly level concave positions of valley bottoms. It is composed of <br />75~ Typic Cryaquolls; inclusions are 25% Torrifluvents, gravelly. <br />Tne vegetation type is meadow. The erosion Hazard is slight, <br />runoff is medium, ana flooding hazard is common. The present land use <br />is pasture and hay meadow and the range site is river bottom. Tne SCS <br />capability subclass is IIIw. <br />Weighted Salvage Thickness ~ Map. Unit: <br />Lilt 1: 33 inches thick <br />Lift 2: '17+ inches thick <br />Total salvage thickness: 6U+ inches thick <br />Portions of tnis map unit may be too wet to salvage. <br />2.2.'1 CVB Castner-Vandamore Var. Complex, 5 to '15Yo slopes <br />This complex map unit consists of Castner cobbly loam and <br />Vandamore var. flaggy sandy loam on gently sloping narrow <br />ridyecrests. It is composed of 45~ Castner cobbly loam and 4bX <br />Vandamore var. flaggy sandy loam; inclusions are lU~ Inchau. <br />Tne vegetation type is sagebrush-grassland. The erosion hazard <br />is moderate, runoff is medium, and flooding hazard is none. The <br />present land use is range, and the range site is dry exposure, sandy <br />stony Tooth ills. The SCS capability subclass is VIIe non-.irr. <br />Portions of this map unit may be too stoney to salvage. <br />17 <br />
