• the pond which are 2.85:1. A crack was observed in the top of the
embankment and the pond appears to be leaking near the toe.
2-B -- The elevation of the spillway crest needs to be reduced by
at least 0.84 feet. The spillway needs to be extended 20 feet below
the toe of the dam and this extension will require erosion control
material. All side slopes of this pond appear to meet the 3:1
requirement.
BR-F -- Currently this pond has an 18" culvert installed for the
primary spillway. This needs to be removed and a spillway at least
8 feet wide should be installed at an elevation at least 1.32 feet
below the bottom of the existing culvert. This new elevation will
also correct the inadequate residual freeboard at peak flow that
currently exists. This spillway should be extended 20 below the toe
of the dam and this extension requires erosion control material.
The south side slopes need repaired as they are currently as steep
as 1.7:1.
1-C -- The elevation of the spillway crest needs to be reduced by
at least 1.97 feet in order to meet the 4 foot requirement.
However, when this modification is completed the bottom of the pond
and the spillway crest will be the same elevation. Therefore, the
pond should be removed or rebuilt as per the permit requirements.
U-A -- The elevation of the spillway crest needs to be reduced by
• at least 1.8 feet. This modification will also correct the
inadequate residual freeboard at peak flow that currently exists.
The spillway needs to be extended 20 feet below the toe of the dam
and this extension will require erosion control material. All side
slopes of this dam appear to meet the 3:1 requirement.
U-B -- The elevation of the spillway crest needs to be reduced by
at least 1.99 feet. This modification will also correct the
inadequate residual freeboard at peak flow that currently exists.
The spillway needs to be extended 20 feet below the toe of the dam
and this extension will require erosion control material. while the
majority of the side slopes meet the 3:1 requirement, material'
obtained from the spillway modification should be used to repair
the west side slope of the pond which is 2.83:1.
U-G -- The elevation of the spillway crest needs to be reduced by
at least 2.88 feet. This modification will also correct the
inadequate residual freeboard at peak flow that currently exists.
The spillway needs to be extended 20 below the toe of the dam and
this extension will require erosion control material. All side
slopes appear to meet the 3:1 requirement.
N-C -- The elevation of the spillway crest needs to be reduced by
at least 2.48 feet. This modification will also correct the
inadequate residual freeboard at peak flow that currently exists.
The spillway needs to be extended 20 below the toe of the dam and
• this extension will require erosion control material. All side
slopes appear to meet the 3:1 requirement.
