• repaired as they are 2:1 and 1.6:1, respectively. As a result of
these slopes the combined embankment slope requirement of 5:1 (SCS)
is also exceeded. The spillway needs to be extended 20 feet below
the toe of the dam and this extension will require erosion control
material. While the majority of the side slopes of this pond meet
the 3:1 requirement, there is an area on the south side of the pond
where the slope is 2.75:1 that needs repaired. During the
inspection a crack was observed in the top of the embankment but
the depth could not be determined.
26-A -- The spillway of this pond appears to be extended 20 feet
below the toe of the dam but erosion control material is required
in this extension. The spillway invert currently has riprap
installed so the erosion control material required at this point is
already satisfied.
26-B -- The elevation of the spillway crest needs to be reduced by
at least 1.71 feet. This modification will also correct the
inadequate residual freeboard at peak flow that currently exists.
The spillway is extended 20 feet below the toe of the dam and does
not require erosion control material. The embankment upstream slope
near the spillway needs to be repaired as it is currently 2.25:1.
26-C -- The elevation of the spillway crest needs to be reduced by
at least 0.80 feet. The spillway also needs to be extended 20 feet
below the toe of the dam and this extension will require erosion
• control material. While the majority of the side slopes meet the
3:1 requirement, there is an area on the east side of the pond
where the side slope is 2.43:1 that will require repair.
51E-A -- The spillway needs to be extended 20 feet below the toe of
the dam and this extension will require erosion control material.
The embankment upstream slope needs to be repaired as it is
currently 2.3:1. All of the side slopes of the pond appear to meet
the 3:1 requirement. In the process of extending the spillway, the
spillway crest should be reduced by at least 0.25 feet to insure it
meets the 4 foot requirement.
51E-B -- The elevation of the spillway crest needs to be reduced by
at least 0.34 feet. The spillway needs to be extended 20 feet below
the toe of the dam and this extension will require erosion control
material. The side slopes on the south and east sides of this pond
need repaired as they currently are as steep as 2.6:1.
51E-C -- The spillway needs to be extended 20 feet below the toe of
the dam and this extension will require erosion control material.
This pond also requires erosion control material at the invert but
the pond already has riprap at this point. All side slopes of this
pond appear to meet the 3:1 requirement.
51E-D -- This pond appear to meet all requirements of the permit
and the two agencies with the exception that the portion of the
• spillway that extends 20 feet below the toe of the dam will require
erosion control material. The invert of the spillway also requires
