Vegetation growth will be cut where neces- <br />sary to facilitate inspection and repairs. Ditches and spill- <br />ways will be cleaned. Any combustible material present on the <br />surface, other than material such as mulch or dry vegetation <br />used for surface stability, will be removed and all other appro- <br />priate maintenance procedures followed. <br />U <br />EXCERPT FROM THE LAW <br />(7) All dams and embankments that meet or exceed certified <br />to the Division by a qualified registered professional <br />engineer, immediately after construction and annually <br />thereafter, as having been constructed and maintained <br />to comply with the requirements 4.05.9. All dams and <br />embankments shall be certified by either a qualified <br />registered professional engineer or a registered land <br />surveyor, except that all coal processing dams and em- <br />bankments shall be certified by qualified registered <br />professional engineer. <br />• <br />
