Rule 1. Pesmi~s <br />Reclamation of Facilities <br />Section 2.05.3 describes the project facilities. These facilities will be removed and reclaimed at the end <br />of the life of the mines. <br />All buildings and other structures will be removed. Mechanical equipment, scrap iron, and other metal <br />portions of structures will be salvaged for reuse where possible. Surface concrete pads and foundations <br />will be broken up and the material used as fill. Concrete footings greater than 3-feet below the final graded <br />surface will beburied in-place. Remaining excavations will be backfilled topost-mining topography <br />consistent with pre-mining topography. Previously salvaged subsoil and topsoil will be cespread. A cost <br />estimate for facilities reclamation is presented in Section 3.0. <br />Reclamation of Ponds <br />Following Phase 2 bond release or a pond removal demonstration, all ponds except Ponds 001, 004, 007, <br />and will be reclaimed. The embankments will be graded across the azea, topsoil will be replaced on the <br />embankment and pond footprint and site will be seeded, andjute mesh erosion control fabric will be placed <br />across the site. Ponds 001, 004, 007, and 011 aze proposed forpermanent retention.
