.-, <br />The Board having heard the testimony and arguments <br />concerning the Petition, and having reviewed the record and <br />being fully advised in the premises, John Trenary moved and <br />Paul VanHorn seconded the Motion that the Board adopt the <br />following Findings and Resolution: <br />FINDINGS <br />1. That this hearing has been duly advertised in a <br />newspaper of general circulation as required by law. <br />2. That there were no persons in attendance who <br />objected to the request. <br />3. The property is located south of Highway 34, <br />west of Loveland near the mouth of the Big Thompson Canyon. <br />4. The ultimate goal of the applicant is to <br />develop a subdivision on this property. <br />5. The City of Loveland approved the sand and <br />gravel extraction. <br />6. The City of Loveland recommended denial of the <br />Planned Unit Development at this time, however, based upon <br />utility, access and flooding problems; the Board of County <br />Commissioners followed suit. <br />7. The applicant will re-seed extracted areas <br />immediately following extraction. <br />8. Bill Campton, the County Engineer, appeared to <br />say the County needs new sources of gravel and that this would <br />be a good gravel pit. He estimated that total extraction could <br />be completed within three years from the date it should begin. <br />The gravel would be transported out of the site by truck. <br />9. The bridge will be placed above the 100 year <br />flood level and will be capable of carrying the loads created <br />by the gravel extraction operation. _ <br />RESOLUTION <br />WHEREAS, the Board having made its Findings and <br />said Findings being incorporated in this Resolution by this <br />reference as though fully set forth herein; <br />NOW, BE IT RESOLVED, That applicant be and he hereby <br />is granted his special exception, upon the following conditions: <br />1. That the Petitioner submit to the Planning <br />Office a copy of final documents approved by the State Mined <br />Land Reclamation Board. <br />
