-3-
All gravel material will be transported to Area A by the
extensive use of a conveyor belt system.
All major disturbance in Area B will take place above the
buried water pipeline described as Item 1, Exhibit B, of
the Arylee, Inc. Warranty Deed (Exhibit P). All mining
will be done above the groundwater table and therefore,
no water diversion or impoundment is involved. Mining
activity in Area B is expected to be completed in 1987.
The only reclamation planned at that time will be embank-
ment stabilization for a low bank along the northern bound-
ary above the pipeline. The terraced area created will
continue to be used during Phase 3 as mining moves in a
southerly direction from the south boundary of Area 13.
Phase 3 will begin in the northeast corner of Area C as
shown on the map, ( Exhibit C ). As previously noted,
topsoil and over-burden will be segregated and stored in
the storage area north of the old orchard. All over-burden
will be transported by trucks or conveyor belt to the
storage area unless shorter distances permit use of a
tractor and blade either for storage or back-filling and
grading. Mining activity will take place between 1987-92.
Over-burden becomes much deeper as min in p, proceeds south
in the northeast quadrant of Area C. Therefore, the
north-south mine face to be developed may be no more than
200 ft. wide until mining proceeds about 500 ft, from the
east boundary of Area C. Beyond 500 ft, the terrain drops
sharply to the west and thus, exposes the gravel deposit
observed in Area B. Consequently, the mining activity
will turn to a southwesterly direction terminating at a
point about 800 ft. southwest of the northwest corner of
Area C. The full extent of the disturbance will be
l~.mited-b_y_the_groundwater table, the thickness of the
over-burden, and the availability of gravel.
