This will also match local land use <br />• plane and programs which designate the vicinity as open. <br />Implementation of this reclamation plan will rehabilitate the <br />affected land closely to the existing conditions of natural <br />vegetation which now consists of Mountain mahogone, Bitter brush, <br />Rabbit brush and Indian ricegrass. It is not known whether re- <br />seeding of Pinon pine trees will be possible. <br />If it is feasible the trees will be included in the reclamation <br />plan which would then bring the rehabilitation back to the <br />conditions of natural vegetation. Water, air and soil will not <br />be altered by the mining activity. There is no water present in <br />the proposed mining area. The air quality will not be damaged or <br />permanently altered. And the soil which consist of rock out- <br />r <br />• cropping will consist of fragmented rock when rehabilitated. <br />Compliance with Rule 6 <br />6 1. Grading shall be done to a maximum of 2 to 1 sloping <br />to the east which will follow the original contour <br />of the land which is a east sloping hogback formation. <br />a. Backfilling of overburden in the mined area will be <br />accomplished with loader and truck. The material <br />will be well shot sandstone which will compact extremely <br />well. The sandstone overburden is non-toxic and thus <br />leaching of toxic materials will not be present. <br />b. Grading will be done to a maximum slope of 2 to 1 and <br />follow the natural east sloping hogback formation as <br />closely as possible. Areas outside the affected land <br />will not be exposed to slides or other damage. <br />
