Exhibit E- Reclamation plan
Add~nal Information Page 2
1. Salvaged soil will be placed on the south side of the bench cut and
planted with the seed mix as recommended per ECS # 5 U.S. D.A. Soil cons-
ervation Service. The planting of this type of cover to stabilize the
Dirt stockpile should be sufficent to prevent erosion and loss.
2. The portal entrance will be sealed with a steel gate and covered with
boulders sufficient to prevent unauthorized opening of the portal, or
entrance to same. All materials used for mining, and supplies which
might be underground would be removed, and adequate drainage provided
via troughing in rock.
3,~4. Seeding will be done each Fa11,September, or October so the seed will
have adequate germination time and moisture for growth.
The specific mix as recommended per ECS # 5 U.S.D.A. will be used, and
a specific source has been found to purchase the seed in bulk mix.
5. Roads leading to the portal from exsisting roads would cross only
on patented ground and be less than 300 feet in length. If any portion were
on vegetated soil the soil would be stockpiled and vegetated beside the road
area for later cover for vegetation. As the soil is generaly less then
one foot thick in this area, the base underneath is Quartz rock, and
compaction will be minimal.
6. Fertilization was not recommended per ECS #5 U.S.D.A., however, I have
contacted them for a recommendation and they will submit the information
after additional soil testing can be done in the Summer of 1984, Upon
reciept of the information, I will submit my fertilizer plan to be added
to my permit application. P~'
7. I will request that the Sheep hearders not graze on my property during
the period of my mining operation, and install temporary fencing around
the reclaimed areas, approximately 20 X 40 feet as seeding is done, to
prevent overrun by grazing animals. Cost, $86.85 per area.
