PHASE IV: Embankment Construction
Embankment construction was carefully monitored for moisture
and density control with a Tror.ler Dluclear D-M gauge from base
of fill to finished grade. All densities met or exceeded the
minimum 958 of maximum dry density per ASTM D-698.
Ten inches (10") of Class 3 aggregate base course was placed
on a thirty foot (30') wide mat of marifi 500x, compacted and
approved before three quarter inch (3/9") Class 6 aggregate
was placed.
The typical road section was completed with six inches (6") of
three quarter inch {3/4") Class 6 aggregate base course as per
plan. Completion of the roadway :vas marked with the satisfactory
compaction, and thickness verification of the Class 6 material.
PHASE V: Topsoil Placement and Revegitation
After roadway completion, the topsoil placement was completed
by shouldering the road and shaping the previously placed topsoil.
An average topsoil thickness of one foot (1') was verified by
field measurements by the Inspecting Engineer.
Re-seeding was not accomplished due to weather conditions, but will
be completed as conditions will permit in the spring.
The above statements represent
and inspections made during the
i and do not imply a warranty or
of the elements involved.
a recapitulation of work accomplished
course of the construction project
guarantee of the design or adequacy
~j
~i~~
Project Inspe r
' ~n r
~~
~t C.
