• -8- <br />Area #6 <br />• <br />Two overflow ponds located in the NE1/4 of the NE1/4 of Sec <br />25. An area of 2.00 acres. <br />Upon abandonment, the lined pond holding oily sludge will be <br />cleaned and removed. The liner will be taken up and removed. The <br />second pond was constructed and lined as a back-up for the first <br />pond, but will be required only if the first pond lacks adequate <br />capacity. Surface drainage is diverted around the ponds by <br />existing facilities. Both ponds will be refilled and contoured <br />to their natural surroundings. Shrub tubelings will be trans- <br />planted as explained for the benches in Area #1. The same species <br />and rates as explained for the benches in Area #1 will be broad- <br />cast seeded. Straw mulch will be applied at the rate of 2000 lbs. <br />per acre and crimped in. Reclamation will begin within one year <br />of abandonment. <br />nro~ ~~ <br />Future equipment and parts storage and additional raise <br />bore located in the NE1/4 of the NE1/4 of Sec 25. An area of <br />3.30 acres. Topsoil will be removed and stockpiled within the <br />3.30 acres. Grass and forb seed will be broadcast over the <br />stockpile at the same rate and the same species as explained <br />for benches in Area #1. This phase will begin as soon after stock- <br />piling is completed and not later than one year after completion. <br />J <br />Straw mulch will be applied at 200 lbs./acre and jute matting <br />fastened down over it. Upon abandonment, all equipment and parts <br />will be removed and the raise bore plugged. The surface will be <br />recontoured to resemble the local surroundings, and topsoil will <br />be removed from the stockpile and spread evenly over the area to <br />
