~f.• Monitoring of Waste Material Effects on Mine Conditions
The mine may be affected by the placement of waste in three
separate categories:
a. Physical stability
b. Environmentally
c. Hydrologically.
A plan will be prepared to monitor the many factors involved
in these three categories. The basic plan will provide for
specific measurements to be taken periodically, before and during
the demonstration phase. Typical measurements will be:
a. Density of material as placed
b. Compressibility
c. Mine roof support
d. Dust
• e. Noise
f. Ventilation
g. Water quality and flows
h. Pillar extraction percentage
i. Mine production.
Permits for Implementing Underground Disposal System
During the entire Phase I, FMA and wSC will apply for and
acquire as rapidly as possible the necessary permits to allow the
waste disposal system to be installed and demonstrated.
Phase I Report
This report will consist of a documented report plus an oral
review at the Denver Research Center. It will cover in detail
the following:
a. Complete system design with drawings, specifications
b. Estimated performance
I~ •
