• 2.05.4(2)(e)(vi)
Calculation of sample adequacy will be in a manner approved by DMG.
Most likely, sample adequacy calculation will follow the methods
outlined on pages 20 and 21 of the Division's Guideline Reaardin4
Selected Coal Mine Bond Release Issues; Aoril 18, 1995. Following
this recommended method, the formula on page 20 will be used should
hypothesis testing be necessary to establish that the measured
cover is equal to or greater than 908 of the standard (i.e.,
greater than 20.7$ cover). If the reclaimed area cover exceeds the
908 value, the sample adequacy calculation will follow the formula
on page 21.
If the measured non-noxious perennial vegetative cover on the
reclaimed areas does not exceed the 908 value, a t test will be
employed to test the hypothesis that the sampled value is equal to
or greater than the 90~ value. Methods will follow those outlined
on page 22 of the Division's Bond Release Guidelines.
•
•
134 (Rev. 6-28-96)
