c. No chemicals are to be added to the discharge unless permission for the use of a specific chemical is granted
by the permit issuing authority. In granting the use of such chemicals, additional limitations and monitoring
requirementr, may be imposed.
d. Bulk storage structures for petroleum products and other chemicals shag have adequate protection so as to
prevent any reasonable loss of the material from entering discharged waters or waters of the State.
2. Indtistr~v~oeufic lQt~eric Limitations
Beginning October 1, 1992 and lasting through September 30, 1997, the permittee is authori7.ed to discharge from the
process water outfells, order the industrial category below, u identrfied in their permit certification.
In accordance with the Water lZuality Control Commission Regulations for Effluent Limitations, Sxtion 10.1.3, and
State Discharge Permit System Regulations, Section 6.9.2, 5 C.C.R. 1002-2, the permitted discharge shall not
contain effluent parameter concmtrationa which exceed the following limitations:
a. Mineral mining and processing point source category - 40 CFR 436 - subpart B (crushed stone), C
(construction sand and gravel), D (industrial sand), R (phosphate rock) -and ell other industrial facilities
covered und~;r SIC Cade 14, except graphite, and those specifically listed in paragraph b, below, end concrete
batch plants located at any facility otherwise covered by this general permit:

3. Monitorin¢ Rettufrements
In order to obtain en indication of the probable compliance or noncompliance with the effluent limitations spxified in
Part I.B, the permittee shall monitor all effluent parameters at the following requirod frequencies.
