• RULE 2.03.8 -PERMIT TERM INFORMATION <br />(1) Each application for surface minine activities shall state the anticipated or actual starting and <br />termination date of each phase of the surface minine activities and the anticipated number of acres of land to be <br />affected for eac~hase of mining and over the total life of the aermit. <br />(2) Each application for underground mining activities shall state the anticipated or actual starting date <br />and termination date of each phase of the underground mining activities and the anticipated number of acres of <br />surface lands to be affected, and the horizontal and vertical extent of proposed underground mine workings, for <br />each phase of mining and over the total life of the permit. <br />RESPONSE <br />See Map 23, Mine Plan, for actual starting and termination dates and horizontal extent of each phase of the <br />underground mining activities planned. The number of acres of surface lands to be affected may be found <br />on page 3, number IS of the "Application Form for a Permit to Conduct Coal Mining in Colorado" <br />following the cover page of this application. <br />EASTERN MINING DISTRICT <br />Please refer to Map 23 for the starting and termination dates of the panels within the Eastern Mining District. It <br />should be noted that the gate road development will be in advance of the panel to be longwall mined, and typically <br />the mine plans to be one to two years ahead with its development work. The number of acres of surface lands to be <br />affected is identified on the permit application. New surface disturbance resulting from the Eastem Mining District <br />is associated with the construction of the dewatering and ventilation facilities and their roads. <br />• EMD (Panels 2 Rieht throueh 6 Rieht) (PR 97-04) <br />Please refer to Map 23 for the starting and termination dates of the panels within the Eastern Mining District. It <br />should be noted that the gateroad development will be in advance of the panel to be longwall-mined. Also, the <br />mining of the main and submains in this district will be in advance of the longwall panels and gateroad <br />development. The number of acres of surface lands to be affected is identified in the permit application. <br />NMD (Panels 12 Rieht throueh 16 RiehO (PR 99-OS) <br />Please refer to Map 23 for the starting and termination dates of the panels within the Northern Mining District. It <br />should be noted that the gateroad development will be in advance of the panel to be longwall-mined. Also, the <br />mining of the Northeast Mains in this district will be in advance of the longwall panels and gateroad development. <br />The number of acres of surface lands to be affected is identified in the permit application. <br />(3) If the applicant proposed to conduct the surface or underground mining activities in excess of 5 <br />years, the application shall contain the information needed for the showing required under 2.01.5. <br />RESPONSE <br />See response for Rule 2.01.5 above. <br />• <br />APPR®~E~ JUN 2 8 2000 <br />PR 99-OS 2.03-35 3/28/00 <br />
