Revegetation Plan
For both the dryland and wetland azeas, the soil will be disced to loosen the soil. Due to the mild
grade, seed can be drilled in both azeas in order to ensure a better revegetation success rate. The
dryland azeas will be seeded with a specially designed seed mix, seen below in Table E-3.
Certified weed free mulch will be crimped into the surface at 20001bs per acre. The wetlands
will be seeded with a specially designed mix, seen below in Table E-4. Fertilizer maybe added
as determined by a soil test at the time of seeding. Heavy furrows will be left in the tilled topsoil
to provide moisture concentration and shade areas in order to promote better conditions for
successful vegetation establishment. Seeding will take place the fall after which a slope has been
retopsoiled. Slopes will be regraded, backfilled, and retopsoiled as soon as they aze able to be
reclaimed. Fall seeding applications will take place between September 1 and October 15 of the
respective year of seeding in order to achieve the maximum success in reclamation.
Table E-3
Dryland Seed Mix
Species Lbs per Acre
Four Wing Saltbush 0.25
Rabbitbrush 0.25
Skunkbush Sumac 0.25
Alkali Sacaton 0.50
Yellow Sweetclover 1.50
Fairway Wheatgrass 1.50
Galleta 3.00
Thickspike Wheatgrass 3.00
Streambank Wheatgrass 3.00
Total 13.25
White River City Pit, April 07 E-3
