The final land uses, as mazked on Map F, are the lake, 10' wetland fringe and wetlands shelves,
and a rangeland pad on the south and east sides of the disturbed area. Acreages can be seen in
Table E-2.
The worst case bond scenario will occur when Connell Resources has mined out Phase 1 and has
begun mining Phase 2. It is assumed that approximately %z of Phase 2 will be mined out at this
point. The road on the perimeter used for access to the pit will remain in place in order to allow
access after the site has been reclaimed. There aze no foundations or other structures which will
be required to be removed with the reclamation process, so the only tasks will involve backfilling
slopes, regrading, topsoiling, and seeding of the disturbed azeas. The reclamation timetable is
shown below in Table E-3 and the worst case scenario is calculated in Exhibit L: Reclamation
Costs.
Table E-1 Reclamation Quantities
Area (acres) Material needed to
Backfill (yd3) Topsoil Required for
Reclamation (yd3)
Phase 1 10.96 116,020 3,743
Phase 2 10.94 38,322 1,527
Phase 3 10.84 29,413 1,355
Total 32.74 183,755 6,625
Table E-2 Reclamation Land Usage
Land Use Area (acres
Wetlands 3.75
Lake Surface 23.92
Rangeland 16.13
Total 43.8Q
2.
