Business identification signs aze permitted in <br />conjunction with permitted commercial uses, provided such signs identify a <br />business occupying the premises. One (1) freestanding sign, not to exceed <br />thirty-six (36) squaze feet in azeaper sign face, maybe erectedper single <br />business site or multi-business site. Also, one (l) building mounted sign <br />and/or window signage, not to exceed a total of twenty (20) square feet in <br />azea, maybe erected per individual business (identified by a sepazate <br />business address) on the site. Business identification signs maybe <br />illuminated subject to the standazds specified for lighting under Section 8.4.I, <br />SiQO Avaearance Standazds. Neon or other gas-filled light tube signs maybe <br />used for stating "Open", "Vacancy" or "No Vacancy" only and may not <br />exceed two (2) squaze feet in size. <br />Institutional Identification Sly~os. One (1)freestanding or building mounted <br />sign, not to exceedthirty-six (36) square feet in area pet sign face, maybe <br />erected on the same lot of any school, church, pack or public building. <br />)6. Residential Identification Sims. One (1) non-illuminated freestanding and/or <br />one (1) wall mounted sign, which may include iridescent or reflective <br />material and may contain the name(s) of the occupant(s) and address of the <br />premises only, aze permitted per lot provided: 1) the freestanding sign may <br />not exceed 1.5 squaze feet in size and must be adjacent to the driveway at <br />least ten (10) feet from the edge of the traveled portion of the adjacent <br />roadway, 2) illumination of wall mounted signage is pemritted if in <br />accordance with Section 8.4.I; and 3) total signage may not exceed three (3) <br />square feet in size. One (1) non-illy+n+inated freestanding sign, not to exceed <br />twenty (20) squaze feet in area per sign face, maybe erected as an etttry <br />monument at the primary entrances to a residential subdivision or <br />neighborhood. The sign permit applicant must'be as incorporated <br />Homeowners Association registered as such with the Secretary of the State of <br />Colorado. <br />C. httemal Directional Sims. Internal directional signs aze signs located on a <br />property for the purpose of directing vehicles and pedestrians to destinations <br />on the property such as pazking areas, entrances, exits and buildings. They <br />shall have a standazdized design, shall not exceed three (3) square feet each <br />in size, shall contain only the most essential information without decoration <br />or any advertising, shall not be visible from beyond the boundaries of the <br />property (to the extent practical), and shall benon-illuminated except for land <br />uses associated with emergency services. <br />C;ilpin County Zoning Regulations 53 <br />
