e. Political Signs, as deSned. <br />f. Traditional holiday decorations ifnon-commercial in their <br />appeazance. <br />g. Official government public and legal notices. <br />h. Signs not prohibited in Section 8 ~4.E above which are placed on or <br />affixed to operable and licensed vehicles, equipment or trailers <br />zegularly used in a business, cuaently operated by the vehicle <br />equipment or trailer owner, where the grimary purpose of the sign is <br />to identify the business. <br />i. Street name and off-premise residence directional signage maybe <br />located at the intersection ofprivate oz other "non-public" roadways <br />but only to the extent necessary to identify the road names and <br />provide limited directional information to residences located within <br />the vicinity of that intersection. The directional signage may <br />contain the lot owner's name, lot identification or address and a <br />directional arrow only. No directional or street name sign may <br />exceed 1.5 square feet in size. <br />Any official federal, state or local flag provided. there is no more <br />than one (1) of any single type located on the pazcel and that no flag <br />exceeds twenty bythirty-eight feet (20'x 38') in size, consistent with <br />Congressional pzotocol, unless approvedby the Board. Said flag(s) <br />may be illuminated in accordance with Section 8.4.1 below. The <br />flag pole or mount shall be considered a structure subject to the <br />applicable zoning setback and. height restrictions. <br />k. Vending maohines, automatic tellers or gasoline pumps that display <br />the name, trademazk or logo of the company and opetaiionai <br />information provided the display is an integral part of the shine <br />or pump. <br />G. Maintenance. Signs shall be so maintained that they continue to communicate <br />the visual message, remain in good repair and be structurally stable, otherwise the <br />sign and all mounting pazaphemalia shall be removed. All sign materials shall be <br />datable, of permanent nature, require minimum maintenance, and be resistant to <br />weathering and staining. A sign permit will not be required for preventative <br />maintenance or repainting of a lawfully existing siga provided the size, graphics, <br />text, lighting, color and height remain as specified within the current pemmt. <br />Gilpin County Zoning Regu{ations 48 <br />
