D. Permit Exniratioa If the sign for which a permit has been obtained is not <br />erected, placed, constructed, reconstructed, maintained or relocated within <br />six (~ months of the date the permit was issued, the permit shall expire and <br />anew permit is required. <br />E. Prohibited 5iens. The following signs shall not be erected, placed, <br />constructed, reconstructed, maintained or relocated within Gilpin County <br />unless specifically permitted elsewhere within this Section. <br />a. Signs with sound devices, whether designed or unintended. <br />b. Signs with lights or illumination which flash, rotate, move, <br />fluctuate, scintillate, blink, flicker, vary in intensity, vary in color or <br />use intemutteat electronic pulsation. <br />c. Signs with visible moving, reflecting, revolving or rotating parts, or <br />visible mechanical movement of any description, or other appazent <br />visible movement. Portable or wheeled signs to include "A" ii~ame, <br />sandwich board and curb signs. ~_ <br />d. Signs placed on or affixed to vehicles, equipment or trailers are not <br />permitted unless all of the following conditions exist: <br />1) The sign(s) qualifies as as exempt sign as defined in Section <br />8.4.F.h, below. <br />2) The subject vehicle, equipment or trailer is being operated in the <br />normal course ofbusiness unless parked or stored in an azea <br />appropriate to its use for delivery or intended commercial purpose <br />and not parked primarily for the purpose of providing a stationary <br />display for the advertisement ofproducts or directing people to a <br />business or activity. <br />3) No sign shall be placed or erected in the bed of a truck or on the <br />deck of a trailer or a truck. <br />4) Vehicles, equipme~ or trailers with signage remaining at any <br />location upon a particular property so as to be visible from public <br />zoadways for a period of seven consecutive days shall be deemed <br />to be for the purpose of advertising and shall be subject to <br />regulation under ttris sign code. <br />£ Signs mounted on roofs, painted on the mof--top, or designed within <br />roof-top materials. <br />Gilpin County Zoning Regulations 4 6 <br />
