The blower motor shall be <br /> controlled by H-O-A selector switches and magnetic starters in con- <br /> junction with the program timer. The program timers shall have the <br /> capability to operate the treatment system when required and as <br /> determined by the variation in the daily flow rate. All electrical <br /> equipment and circuitry shall be protected by properly sized circuit <br /> breakers or fuses. All duplex or standby equipment shall be designed <br /> so that it may be operated by devices within the control system. <br /> 11.3 All wire and conduit required between the control panel and the <br /> electrical power service shall be furnished and installed by the <br /> purchaser. Wiring and conduit between the control panel and plant <br /> equipment shall be furnished by the Manufacturer of the wastewater <br /> treatment plant. The panel may be detached for shippin3. EFFLUENT CONNECTION <br /> X 12.1 The effluent connection of the wastewater treatment system shall be <br /> located as shown on the plans and shall consist of one 8" diameter <br />• ` standard pipe fitted into a diameter grout ring. <br /> OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT SECTION <br /> 13. INLET BAR SCREE`1 <br /> 13.1 A bar screen shall be provided, with the aeration chamber at the influent <br /> port, to remove any unusually large solids Erom the incoming raw sewage. <br /> The bar screen shall be Fabricated Erom one-half inch diameter bars <br /> spaced one-inch apart and arranged as shown en tFe drawings. The; bars <br /> shall be sloped to permit easy cleaning of accumulating debris. A dry- <br /> ing deck shall be furnished Eor drying this debris. __. <br /> 14. FROTH CONTROL SYSTEM <br /> 14.1 There shall be installed within the wastewater treatment system all <br /> necessary equipment for controlling the froth in the aeration cham'oer. <br /> This shall include the Ero[h pump, spray nozzles, pipin „ eater manifold <br /> and all ocher necessary auxiliary equipment. Tlie froth pumo shall be a <br /> ~phorsepower, Volt, Phase, rated at GP`I. The puma shall <br /> operate submerged with a positive suction head. It shall be installed <br /> in one corner of the clarifier chamber near the inlet, at least c•.:o (") <br /> inches 6e1ow water level.
