The <br />spray nozzle shall be constructed of durable non-corrosive materials. <br />15. CEII.ORINE CONTACT CHA:`D3EK <br />15.1 A baffle type chlorine contact chamber shall be provided, constructed <br />as an integral part of the wastewater treatment system. The contact <br />chamber shall be installed immediately Following the clarifier. The <br />tank shall be sized for a capacity of X117 gallons. Baffles shall be <br />provided to eliminate short circuiting and shall be designed to keen <br />floating material from leaving the chamber. <br />C <br />15.2 The contact chamber shall have the same protective coating as specifies. <br />for the wastewater treatment system. The tank shall have the same <br />structural requirements as the wastewater treatment plant. Sufficient <br />E1ow baffles will be supplied to assure proper mixing of the chlorine <br />solution with the plant effluent. <br />15.3 The chlorination equipment shall consist of a solid chlorine tablet typ • <br />feeder, Model 100 The chlorinator shall have the capacity <br />of disinfecting the effluent from the wastewater treatment system. The <br />chlorinator shall be mounted at the inlet end of the chlorine contact <br />tank at the location shown on the drawings. <br />16. SLUDGE HOLDING TANK (OPTIONAL) <br />16.1 An aerated sludge holding tank shall be provided as specified and showTi <br />on the plans. It shall be designed to hold a minimum of 1,500 gallons <br />of sludge, based on of the design flow. <br />16.2 The tank shall be constructed as an integral part of the wastewater <br />treatment system and Fabricated out of one-Fourth inch steel plate. <br />The tank shall have the same protective coating as specified for the <br />treatment plant. It shall also have the same structural requirements <br />as the wastewater treatr..ent plane. <br />16.3 The chamber shall be of the aerated type. Diffused air shall be supplied <br />by the plant blower system supplying one CF4 of air per foot of tank <br />length. The diffusers shall be spaced on 6" centers and located oarall~el <br />to and near the bottom of the tank.
