be attached to the water manifold to insure a uniform continuous share
flat spray along the entire length of the aeration chamber, opposite
the air diffusers. The spray nozzles shall be that which will open
automatically for self-cleaning with each pump start-up surge and then
close producing a sharp flat spray ac normal pumping flow races. The
spray nozzle shall be constructed of durable non-corrosive materials.
15. CEII.ORINE CONTACT CHA:`D3EK
15.1 A baffle type chlorine contact chamber shall be provided, constructed
as an integral part of the wastewater treatment system. The contact
chamber shall be installed immediately Following the clarifier. The
tank shall be sized for a capacity of X117 gallons. Baffles shall be
provided to eliminate short circuiting and shall be designed to keen
floating material from leaving the chamber.

15.2 The contact chamber shall have the same protective coating as specifies.

structural requirements as the wastewater treatment plant. Sufficient
E1ow baffles will be supplied to assure proper mixing of the chlorine
solution with the plant effluent.
15.3 The chlorination equipment shall consist of a solid chlorine tablet typ •
feeder, Model 100 The chlorinator shall have the capacity
of disinfecting the effluent from the wastewater treatment system. The
chlorinator shall be mounted at the inlet end of the chlorine contact
tank at the location shown on the drawings.
16. SLUDGE HOLDING TANK (OPTIONAL)
16.1 An aerated sludge holding tank shall be provided as specified and showTi
on the plans. It shall be designed to hold a minimum of 1,500 gallons
of sludge, based on of the design flow.
16.2 The tank shall be constructed as an integral part of the wastewater
treatment system and Fabricated out of one-Fourth inch steel plate.
The tank shall have the same protective coating as specified for the
treatment plant. It shall also have the same structural requirements
as the wastewater treatr..ent plane.
16.3 The chamber shall be of the aerated type. Diffused air shall be supplied
by the plant blower system supplying one CF4 of air per foot of tank
length. The diffusers shall be spaced on 6" centers and located oarall~el
to and near the bottom of the tank. AL1 piping and valves within the
chamber shall be factory installed.
