Depth to visible lime accumulation is
8 to 12 inches. The texture in all horizons ranges from sandy loam
to sandy clay loam. Depth to bedrock is 10 to 20 inches.
Setting: Manburn soils occur on nearly level to gently
sloping uplands, slope is 2 to 6 percent. They are of wide extent throughout the study area
over calcareous, coarse-grained sandstone. Small areas of deep
Forelle and Ryan Park soils were included in mapping.
The Satanka series is a member of the fine-loamy, mixed family
of Borollic Haplargids.
