Air quality and
dart are already major probiears in Clear Creek Canyon as aresult oftha Frei Quarry, where neither the
facility nor the highway tracking dust standards are erdotced 6y the State. A strict mmbient air grraiity
monitoring and enforcementprogram wr~l be requaectby DMRA.
What will the traffic impacts be on CO 119 and US 6? How will these impacts be factored into CDOTs
Gaming Area Access EIS? Based on dre application, how many daily truck trips will there be to and from
dre facility. What will the impads be ~ the intersection of Douglas Mountain Drive end CO 119, where a
traffic light is aheady needed due to effisting heavy gambling traffic? All of these issues will need to be
evaluated. and as mrpact mitigation plea submitted to DMRA for review and comment
We look forward to the State of Colorado's response to the issues presented is this letter, along with plans
that detail how these tmncetns will be addressed if a mining pemtit is granted.
Sincerely,
DOUGLAS MOUKCAIN RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION
~7~G/ ~~
Michael W.
