Spill prevention and containment measures will be implemented under the <br />New Horizon Mine Spill Prevention Control and Counter-measure (SPCC) Plan. <br />Coal Handling Structures. WFC has no existing or proposed coal handling structures. The <br />coal from the mine pit is hauled in highway trucks to the power plant for processing and use. <br />Support Facilities and Utility Installations. All support facilities used in connection with the <br />operation of the mine, including but not limited to, mine buildings, equipment storage facilities, <br />sheds, shops and other buildings will be designed, constructed or reconstructed and located to <br />minimize or control erosion and siltation, water pollution and damage to public or private <br />property. <br />Services which run through, pass over, or under the permit area, consisting of power, sewage, <br />water, and telephone lines, and wells will be protected against damage or relocated to prevent <br />or minimize the disruption of service. <br />Irrigation Svstem. An electric irrigation pump will be placed in Calamity Draw, near Pond 007. <br />It will pump water into an aluminum or PVC pipe system that will in turn distribute water to <br />• several side roll sprinkler systems. A second irrigation pump station will be established along <br />the north permit boundary to furnish additional irrigation water to the irrigation system, see <br />Exhibit 2.05.3-1 for locations. This irrigation system will enhance the revegation on the irrigated <br />pastureland portion of the final reclamation. <br />Special Features <br />Pit Turn Slot Cut. WFC will leave a 115 foot wide by 1,700 foot long opening in th ackfitl <br />spoil reparation for the turn of the mining operation northward in Mining Y r 2000, see <br />Exhibit 2.05.2- location. The slot will begin in fhe northern portion of ~ Ing Cut 33 and will <br />extend westwardly towa 700 Road, see Exhibit 2.05.3-1 B for I Ion.
