<br />• MINING OPERATIONS <br />The mining sequence will be as follows: <br />ESTIMATED <br />TIME TABLE <br />1) Delineation of minable area. 1 mth (or less) <br />2) Removal and stockpiling of topsoil. 1 mth <br />3) Placement of mining and screen deck equipment. 1 mth (or less) <br />4) Removal of sand and gravel. 3 yrs (approx.) <br /> includes screen- <br /> " ing & stockpiling <br />5) Screening of sand and gravel. <br />6) Stockpiling of screened materials. <br />7) Transporting of usable material from site. <br />8) Final Grading. 6 months <br />9) Reclamation (reseeding). 1 year <br /> TOTAL 4 years 9 months <br />• <br />The mining process will occur in phases in an area of 5 acres or <br />less. This will limit the amount of disturbance during the mining <br />process but will be of sufficient size to allow for movement of <br />mining equipment. After the 5 acre area is mined out, mining <br />will commence in an adjacent 5 acre area. Reclamation of the <br />mined out area will commence as soon as equipment is removed. <br />The only area left unreclaimed within the previously mined area <br />will be any haul roads. The minable 5 acre area will be"defined <br />by setting stakes in the field to delineate boundaries <br />Vegetation will be removed from areas of thick or woody cover <br />and stockpiled. Topsoil will then be removed to a minimum depth <br />of 5 inches. Topsoil will be salvaged to greater depths in areas <br />where it exceeds 5 inches. Topsoil and/or suitable growth medium <br />material in this area is thin, generally 3 to 6 inches in depth. <br />Topsoil will be removed utilizing bulldozers or scrapers. Topsoil <br />and removed vegetation will be stockpiled at the perimeter of the <br />mining permit area in a minimum 30 foot buffer zone. No mining <br />
