<br />Typical Profile: Colorow sandy loam, alkali. <br />Al (0-T"): Pals brown (10YR 6/3) sandy loam, brown (10YR 5/3) moist; weak <br />medium subangular blocky structure; soft, vary friable, nonsticky and nonplastic; <br />common roots; slightly effervescent; strongly alkaline (pH 8.0); clear smooth <br />boundary. <br />ACsa (7-16"): Light brownish gray (10YR b/2) sandy loam, grayish brown <br />(10YR 5/2) moist; moderate coarse angular blocky structure; slightly hard, very <br />friable, nonsticky and nonplastic; many roots; strongly effervescent; lima <br />disseminated; sodic; very strongly alkaline (pH 9.7); gradual smooth boundary. <br />Csa (16-60"): Light gray (tOYR 7/2) gravelly sandy loam to silt loam, light <br />brownish gray (10YR 6/2) moist; massive; soft, vary friable, nonsticky and <br />nonplastic; common roots to 30 inches, few roots to b0 inches; violently <br />effervescent; common fine to medium masses and coatings of line; thin lenses <br />of gravels and coarse sands, 10 to 20 percent gravel; sodic; strongly alkaline <br />to neutral (pH d.'T to 7.4) with alkalinity decreasing with depth but relatively <br />constant sodicity. <br /> <br />
