<br />Typical Profile: Rentsac loam. <br />Al (0-3"): Light yellowish brown (10YR 6/4) loam, dark yellowish brown <br />(10YR 4/4) moist; weak medium granular structure; soft, very friable, nonsticky <br />and nonplastic; many roots; 10 percent loamstone and sandstone fragments; mildly <br />alkaline (pH 7.7); clear smooth boundary. <br />AC (3-6"): Very pale brown (10YR 7/4) channery loam, yellowish brown (10YR <br />5/6) moist; weak medium subangular blocky structure parting to weak Fine granular; <br />slightly hard, friable, nonsticky and nonplastic; common roots; strongly <br />effervescent; 40 percent loamstone and sandstone fragments; moderately alkaline <br />(pH 7.6); gradual smooth boundary. <br />Cca (6-13"): Very pale brown (10YR 7/3) channery clay loam, light yellowish <br />brown (10YR 6/4) moist; massive; hard, friable, slightly sticky and slightly <br />• plastic; few roots; violently effervescent; few fine threads of lime; 40 percent <br />medium sandstone fragments; mildly alkaline (pH 7.'T). <br />R (13+"): Highly fractured calcareous loamstone. <br />• <br />
