<br />(7) Growth media will be replaced in as even a manner as possible. 40#/acres of available N and P <br />will be applied to the reclaimed area above the expected water line of the lake. <br />(8) There should be no vegetative piles on the permit area to be removed or utilized. <br />6.4.5 Exhibit "E" Reclamation Plan <br />(2)(d) Where applicable, plans are for segregation, preservation, replacement, compaction and <br />grading of soil, and used for revegetation. The revegetation plan shall contain a list of the <br />preferred species of grass, legume, fortis, shrubs or trees to be planted, the methods and rates <br />of seeding and planting, the estimated availability of viable seeds in sufTicient quantity of the <br />species proposed to be used, and the proposed time of seeding and planting. <br />The non-inundated portions of the disturbed pit azea will be fertilized with forty (40) pounds per acre <br />each of available elemental nitrogen (N) and phosphoric acid (P,05). The area will be seeded with <br />the following varieties and seeding rates: <br />Species <br />Western Wheatgrass <br />Sideoats Grama <br />Alkali Sacaton <br />Sand Dropseed <br />Yellow Sweetclover <br />Fourwing Saltbush <br />Variety <br />Arriba <br />Vaughn or Miner <br />The seeding mixture might vary depending on availability at the time of planting <br />4.8 <br />2.7 <br />0.3 <br />0.1 <br />0.7 <br />0.5 <br />In addition, 2 tons/acre of straw mulch will be placed and crimped into the soil on the non-inundated <br />areas disturbed within the pit. <br />Sufficient distance shall be maintained from mining operations to the bank of the river to maintain <br />[he present channel and prevent flooding of the pit. A 200' riparian area buffer zone will be <br />maintained. <br />(e) A plan or schedule indicating how and when reclamation will be implemented. The plan <br />or schedule shall include: <br />(i) An estimation of the period of time which will be required for the various stages of <br />reclamation. <br />Reclamation of the lake bank will start as soon as the first 5-acre cell has been mined. Reclamation <br />will follow mining as closely as operationally feasible.
