At Portal No. 1, 1 to 1 cute and fills are prn- <br />posed. f:ompaction of the sub~rade and cmbankmcnL fill is <br />spe~ifi~rd at a minimum of 951 oC standard Proctor density (A3TP1 <br />X698) at a moisture content within ~ pcrccntogc points of <br />optimum. <br />Tf design information for the aL•ructureo varies significantly <br />from that described above, we should De notified for gcoteehnical <br />review and to perform additional analysis as required. <br />SITE CONDITIONS <br />The site is located south of County Road 335 about two miles <br />east of Diew Castle in the N[1/4 of Section 6 and NW1/4 of <br />Section 5, T.65., R.~OW. The surfsoe and geologic conditions of <br />the site uere Ciscussed in our preliminary gcoteehnical investi- <br />gation. The site, which has remained vacant and undeveloped <br />since our previous study, consists oC strongly to steeply sloping <br />alluvial fan deposits derived From Crand Hogbaclt Ridge to the <br />:.ouch. The lower part of the site is strongly sloping and may <br />contain valley alluvium mixed with alluvial tan dcyosiLs below <br />about elevation 5700 feet. The lower part of the site has grades <br />ranging from about G$ to 10$ down to the nortkiwest. The middle <br />i <br />and upper part of the site has grades ranging from about 101 to <br />351. Above the s.tte the hillside becomes very sleep with grades <br />approaching 1001.
