WATER RESOURCES
No disturbance of Willow Creek or the minor tributary is
anticipated as a result of mining operations. Abridge will
be constructed across the minor tributary to the access road
as described in Exhibit D. Some minor disturbance may
occur during bridge construction. However, use of this bridge
will prevent any further disturbance of the minor tributary
to Willow Creek. No mining operations will take place within
100 feet of Willow Creek. The permit area does not include
any portion of Willow Creek. Because the bench is elevated
well above the existing Willow Creek streambed or the tributary
streambed, no dewatering operations are anticipated.
VEGETATION
Vegetation in the affected area includes primarily some
riparian vegetation located in the minor tributary and
beneath the bench on the willow Creek side, and dry shrub
`' community which inhabits the bench slopes and the bench itself.
Some pasture land is included within the permit area. However,
the Municipal Subdistrict and the Northern Colorado Water
Conservancy District do not have any interest in disturbing
this pasture and wish it to remain in pasture. Exhibit J
describes the existing vegetation within the area. Exhibit I
provides a description of soils within the area. Soils on
the top of the bench are deep and it is anticipated they will
be more than adequate for reclamation purposes. Figures C-3
through C-5 show examples of the pre-mining site vegetation
and topography.

r

~~

~ ~_Z
