Section 816.22 (a) Continued.
•
Keri'Tipple-Ai@a
The area at the tipple which contains topsoil to be encountered
during regrading does not have any vegetative cover that would
interfere with the use of the topsoil, as detailed in Section
779.19 and on Map 19, Kerr Tipple Area Vegetation. This material
will be removed during regrading prior to respreading of the top-
soil.
Marr"Mine Area
All topsoil at the Marr Mine Area has been removed prior to sub-
mittal of this permit.
(b) Materials to be removed. All topsoil shall be removed in a aepa-
• rate layer from the areas to be disturbed, unless use of substitute or
supplemental materials is approved by the regulatory authority in ac-
cordance with paragraph (e) of this Section. If use of substitute or
supplemental materials is approved, all materials to be redistributed
shall be removed.
Rert"Notth"Area
All topsoil (A Horizon) will be removed in a separate layer from
the area to be disturbed. In the case of Cryorthents (X60) there
is little or no horizon development, and therefore topsoil defined
as A horizon is generally not present. Areas of Cryorthents are
found in several locations in the Kerr North Area, and will be
treated individually as follows.
The Cryorthents area in Pit 111 will be handled according to the
requirements of Section 816.22 (c), namely six inches of material
will be salvaged. The Cryorthents area in Pit 112 will not be sal-
vaged, nor will the Cryorthents area in Pit 113. According to
816-9
