• E.3.3 Wildlife

The mining and reclamation plans will take into consideration the safety
and protection of wildlife on the mine site and access roads. Cotter
has contacted the Division of Wildlife, the Bureau of Land Management,
and the Department of Energy concerning the protection, rehabilitation
and improvement of wildlife habitat.
E.3.4 Topsoiling
Topsoil will be removed and stockpiled in a topsoil storage area separate
from other storage areas. Vegetative cover will be employed to preserve
the topsoil from wind and water erosion and to insure that it remains
in a useable condition for reclamation.
• Woody vegetation present at the site will be removed and put to a
beneficial use as directed by the Bureau of Land Panagement.
The topsoil stockpile will be located away from ongoing mining opera-
tions (see Figures D.5-1 to D.5-11) and graded to minimize erosion.
•
E-3
