Instead of subsection 9, operations are limited to a season from May 1 <br />through November 14 of each year to protect wildlife. <br />In addition, the water tank shall be painted to blend wish the environment and be labeled <br />"non-potable." <br />8. Applicant shall submit an equipment list each year with the other documentation <br />required for annual review, and all equipment shall comply with county noise standards and state <br />air pollution standards. <br />9. Storage of equipment after working hours shall be either in the mine, in the <br />existing storage building, or in the storage area approved by the Forest Service. <br />]0. Unless and until otherwise permitted by the United States Forest Service and <br />reviewed by the County, there shall be no temporary or permanent residential use of the <br />premises. This does ttot prohibit the use of tite existing camper on site as a watchman's quarters, <br />for security purposes, as approved by the Forest Service. <br />11. The number of employees and number of vehicle trips shall be limited by the <br />terms of the United States Forest Service approved operating plan. Off site impacts of changes in <br />operation nd number of employees during each year of operation shall be considered in <br />connection with each annual revi ~, and additional conditions may be imposed to reasonably <br />mitigate local offsite environment. .:npacts. <br />12. The Environmental Health Depatment may monitor the mining operation once a <br />month for the first six (6) continuous months of active mining operation, and thereafter as <br />periodically required, but no less than once each year, in order to determine compliance with <br />local and state regulations regarding water supply and quality, air quality, and noise issues. The <br />results of all such monitoring shall be addressed at each annual review. <br />(a). Prior to commencement of the 1998 operating season, Applicant shall provide <br />information to [he Environmental Health Department documenting the source of potable drinking <br />water to be available for employees and visitors. <br />(b) During each operating season a portable chemical toilet must be installed and <br />maintained to be easily accessible to personnel and visitors on the site, and the toilets must not <br />pose any environmental or public health problems. <br />(c) Non-point source drainage from the permit area shall be retained on-site to allow <br />sufficient settlement of soils and entrapment of other materials present in runoff. <br />(d) No diesel fuel storage shall be permitted on cite without first submitting for review <br />and approval of the Environmental Health Departn:~nt detailed drawings showing the <br />dimensions and liner of a containment basin for the fuel storage. <br />^ -• ~~ ~ ~ as n q.OA N 0.00 PITKIN COUNTY CO <br />
