The recommended sail salvage thickness is based solely on the depth to sandstone bedrock.
The mean in situ suitable soil thickness for 30 Yinevada profiles is 30 inches (Addendum •
8, Tab 9).
The 33C, 53D, and 33E map units consist of 70 percent Yinevada with 10 percent splitro 10
percent Coutis, 5 percent Foidel variant and 5 percent Roust inclusions (Addendum :i, 'ab
9). A 2.3-foot mean salvage thieknesa was used for Nap Units 53C, 53D, and 53E to
calculate recoverable soil volumes Meted in Table 1 and Exhibit 9-). This soil salvage
thickness figure accounts for inclusions and soil loss during salvage due to brush
elearinp.
53F-Yinevada Loam. This map unit is located on the very steep bedrock controlled
sidelopes end swales. No recoverable soil is available from this map unit due to very
steep slopes (Addendum 8, Tab 9).
66D, 66E-Foidel Loam. The Foidel loam soil is located on strongly sloping to steep
mountain sideslopes and cwales. The soil profile is deep and well developed with a thick,
dark colored surface horizon end subsoil clay accumulation. Adjacent soils have higher
subsoil clay contents (ROUIt) or lack subsoil clay accumulation (Splitro end Yinevada). •
The recommended soil selvage thickness is based solely on the thickness of the surface
mollic epi pedon and underlying transitional horizons since subsurface horizons have
unsuitable consistency characteristics. The mean in situ suitable soil thickness for 5
profiles is 40 inches (Addendum 8, Tab 9).
The bbD and bbE map units consist of 80 pertent Foidel with 5 percent each of CouCis,
Rout t, Yinevada, and Splitro inclusions (Addendum 3, Tab 9). A 3.0-foot mean salvage
thickness was used for Map Units bbD and 66E to calculate recoverable soil volumes listed
in Table 1 and Exhibit 9-1. this soil salvage thickness figure accounts for inclusions
and soil loss during salvage due to brush clearing.
bbF-Foidel Loam. This map unit is located on the very steep mountain sideslopes and
swales. No recoverable soil is available from this map unit due to very steep ;:lopes
(Addendum B, Tab 9).
103-UStorthents-Cryoborolls Complex. This map unit is located on very steep mountain •
16
