Page 3
discharge. This area includes the active refuse disposal
area, the reclaimed portion of the pile and the slope between
the active area and a diversion ditch above the pile.
014 - Cameo Borrow Area No. 2 and proposed Cameo Refuse
Disposal Area No. 3 (CRDA 3). Runoff from approximately 12.0
acres is currently routed through Pond 11 and runoff from an
additional 28.0 acres will be routed through this pond in the
future. This area includes a borrow area which is a source of
cover material for portions of CRDA 1 and 2. In the future it
will also include runoff from CRDA 3 and topsoil stockpiles.
015 - Mine discharge from the RSS. This discharge permit is
located at the No. 2 West Portals.
In addition the areas covered by our industrial waste water
discharge permit, there are areas covered by alternate drainage
control in our Mining and Reclamation permit with DMG. These areas
are listed on table 2.05.3M, Alternate Sediment Control Areas in
our Mining and Reclamation permit application. Some of the areas
listed on this table such as fuel tank berms and topsoil stockpiles
are within the drainage areas of permitted industrial wastewater
discharges listed above and are not included in the following list.
A listing of the alternate sediment control areas which are subject
to this SWMP are as follows:
Overland Conveyor - the conveyor from the highway to the UTL
rail loop consists of three drainage areas: on the east side
of the river where it surfaces after being tunneled under the
highway and starts over the river, on the west side of the
river from the river crossing to the county road, and from
Coal Creek to the rail loop. Two transfer buildings are
located along the conveyor route. Approximately 0.5, 6.7 and
20.1 acres are within these disturbance areas respectively.
Powder and Cap Magazine - this drainage area includes a short
light duty road and pad where a small powder and cap magazine
are located. The disturbance for this area is approximately
0.2 acres.
Railroad Embankment Adjacent to the Loadout Structure - A
portion of the outslope of the rail loop near the loadout
structure was included designed for drainage control due to
potential spillage and wind blown dust. This disturbance
includes approximately 5.1 acres.
No. 2 West Portals - this area includes a small disturbance
near the two portals, an overburden stockpile, a substation
and the light duty road between them. This disturbance
includes approximately 0.9 acres.
