2. Plans showing all drainage and irrigation structures
reflecting the flow line elevation at center
of road, the C.F.S. Capacity, the direction of
flow and the size of the area being drained by
drainage structures.
3. Existing underground utilities shall be shown
on the plans as x111 location of proposed underground
utilities.
B. Roadbed widths shall be detailed in the typical section
exhibits; Plates 1, 2, 3, A, and 5.
C. Alignment shall consist of a minimum radius of horizontal
curvature of seventy five (75) feet, and a vertical
curvature to provide a minimum stopping site distance
of two hundred fifty (250) feet.
D. The maximum sustained grade shall be seven (7) per
cent, however, a pitch of ten (10) per cent for less
than 250 feet xill be permitted.
E. Intersections shall provide a visibility each direction
of intersected roadbed of five hundred (500) feet.
F. Culverts shall be placed at all natural and manmade
drainages or at a maximum ditch carrying distance
of eight hundred (800) feet. Minimum cross drainage
culvert size shall be eighteen (18) inches diameter.
Drainage culverts shall be provided at all access
and driveways where required (see Montezuma County
driveway permit regulations). Culverts shall be of
the following minimum gauge material:
18" 16 gauge
24" 16 gauge
30"-48^ 12 gauge
Larger sized culverts must be approved as to size
and gauge by the County Engineer. The top of the
culvert shall be a minimum of one (1) foot below the
finished base course grade.
G. Roadbed fills shall be compacted so as to meet 95f
of the density of AASHTO T 99 or 901 of the density
of AASHTO T 180.
H. Roadbed construction shall be inspected and approved
by the County Engineer before proceeding with the
subbase course.
