In general, reclamation will consist of ripping all areas to a depth of two feet, covering all areas
with 2 inches of topsoil, grading and harrowing the topsoil, and seeding and mulching the entire
area. The areas around the lake perimeter will be retopsoiled to a depth 10 feet below the
expected water level. Table E-1 below shows a balance of the topsoil between the initial
stripping and the reclamation.
Map F shows all the final contours and reclamation planned for the site. The access road will be
left intact so that landowner has access to the reclaimed areas as well as providing a road to
Teddy Graff s property immediately south of the Anderson Pit. Map C-3 shows the cross-
sections of the reclaimed terrain compared with the original and the mining terrain.
Table E-1
Area
(acres) TS
Volume
(yd3) OB
Volume
(yd3) Material
needed to
Reclaim
( d3)
Phase 1 10.44 16,843 4,213 370047
Phase 2 11.83 19,086 126,597 33577
Phase 3 11.41 18,408 81,185 274706
Phase 4 12.55 20,247 187,398 40876
Phase 5 13.31 21,473 206,731 0
Phase 6 12.49 20,151 163,426 43603
Phase 7 12.5 20,167 144,038 328100
Phase 8 13.32 21,490 177,113 0
Phase 9 12.56 20,263 200,829 122189
Phase 10 11.40 18,392 5,618 41453
Phase 11 12.34 19,909 153,897 294088
Phase 12 11.64 18,779 211,439 246677
146 235,208 1,662,483 1,795,316
Percent
Used
95%
Any additional crusher fines created by processing over the life of the pit will also be used to
increase the average topsoil and overburden replacement thickness.
Anderson Pit February OS E-2
