WAREHOUSE BUILDING <br />Chenricals and oils aze temporarily stored in this building during the unloading and receiving <br />at the mine site. This building has an imperviousconcrete floor. Minor spills can be cleaned <br />up immediately without contamination to the outdoor environment. All hazardous chemicals <br />and oils that are ordered require the Safety and Environmental Department review of the <br />Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) before an order is placed to reduce the amounts of <br />hazardous exposure to the workforce and environment. <br />WAREHOUSE OIL STORAGE BUILDING <br />Permanent storage of oils and other flammable products is in this building. It is located <br />adjacent to the warehouse and has a concrete floor. Oil absorbent is used to clean up minor <br />spills or leakage in this building. An outside oil drum rack is located outside of the building. <br />This area is diked and has an impervious brattice flooring for leak or spill containment. <br />SURFACE VEHICLE FUELING STATION <br />A surface vehicle fueling station is located across from the Administration Building in the <br />equipment storage yard at the D Portal Area. One 10,000 gallon unleaded gasoline <br />aboveground tank and one 42,000-gallon diesel aboveground tank are at this location. The <br />area is diked with an earthen berm large enough to contain any leaks or spills. A concrete <br />pad encloses the fuel pump area adjacent to the tanks. <br />UNDERGROUND VEHICLE FUELING STATION <br />The underground vehicle fueling station will be relocated from the East Portal area to the D <br />Portal Area adjacent to the northeast end of the yard storage building. This relocated facility, <br />constructed anticipated in the sutnmer of 1998, will contain the 12,000-gallon diesel fuel and <br />10,000-gallon emulsion oil storage tanks. These tanks will be located in a structure sized to <br />contain the contents of the largest tank plus precipitation. <br />UNDERGROUND DUST SUPPRESSION LIQUID TANK <br />The 5,000 gallon dust suppression liquid (a.k.a. Coherex) tank will be moved from the East <br />Portal Area to the D Portal Area adjacent to the B Portal during the summer of 1998.
