Phase 5 is expected to last approximately 5 <br />years. <br />Phase 6 <br />Phase 6 will entail solely reclamation efforts and is discussed in Exhibit E -Reclamation <br />Plan. <br />Description of Overburden Deposit and Underlvino Stratum <br />According to the exploratory boreholes drilled by Lambert and Associates, the thickness <br />sand and gravel ranges from 20 ft to 60 ft. Topsoil thickness is approximately 6 inches <br />and overburden is approximately 4-ft thick. Based on the number of agricultural crops <br />grown in surrounding areas, the soils are believed to be suitable for reclamation efforts. <br />Primary and Secondary Commodities <br />The primary commodity to be extracted is alluvial sand and gravel. It will be processed <br />and used as construction aggregate. Most, if not all, sand and gravel will be used in on- <br />site concrete and asphalt hatching operations. Any fopsoil and overburden materials in <br />excess of what is required for reclamation may be sold as a secondary commodity. <br />Incidental Products <br />It is not anticipated that there will be any incidental products as a result of this proposed <br />mining operation. <br />Haldorson Sand and Gravel Mine 03023 <br />Haldorson and Sons, Inc.
