LIIVIITED IMPACT ] 10 A~ICATION FOR •
PIT NUMBER ONE
APPLICANT: MARILYN VAZQUEZBRUCE DIAMOND
MINING PLAN (Page 2 of 2)
This proposed operation will comply with Colorado water laws, and will prevent injury to any
water rights by not using any water. The excavation and sorting are most efficiently done in dry
conditions.
If groundwater is encountered during this operation, depth excavation will cease. The value of
material from this pit is not sufficient to warrant dewatering or other associated mitigation.
If refuse or toxic or acid producing materials aze encountered during excavation, operations will
cease until the substance and associated hazards are identified and mitigated. Hazard
determination will involve qualified individuals and County agencies as appropriate. Any removal
of hazardous material will be done by individuals certified for the work, to an approved site. In no
event will any refuse or toxic or acid producing materials be displaced so as to be unsightly or
endanger the drainage system.
This site and plan is intended to provide aloes-impact source of basic construction materials. No
water will be used or disturbed, and no chemicals will be used. The access roadway is existing
today and will stiff be needed for property access when the pit is reclaimed. When the pit is
reclaimed, the depression will be similar to other slope features in surrounding areas. These
features display more varied vegetation than the flat areas, and provide cover for wildlife.
