Revised 1/11/80 <br /> <br />Section 785.18{d) Continued. <br />EEC must run a detailed drilling program in order to provide sufficient <br />geologic information for the development of mine plans and feasibility <br />studies. The time required to perform this drilling, analyze the re- <br />sults, develop the mine plans, stiimulate the associated costs and re- <br />search the present market denand for the coal is such that EFC will not <br />be able to state a decision as to whether or not the proposed underground <br />mine will be developed until January of 1983. EEC hereby requests that. <br />backfilling and grading and other reclamation activities for the subject <br />areas be delayed until January, 1983 to avid unnecessary redisturbance <br />of this area. Should the mine not be developed, the 2,200 feet of open <br />pit will be rackfilled with that spoil located imrediately above the <br />pit in question. <br />• <br />• 785-5 (a) <br />
