<br /> <br />I • <br />~ i <br />M2D-CD Gladel stony fine sandy loam, 3'to'25 percent slopes <br />1/75 <br />This is a shallow, well to somewhat excessively drained soil <br />on hills and ridges throughout the area. .. <br />The surface is a light reddish brown fine sandy loam with about <br />20 percent sandstone fragments. This is S to 10 inches thick. <br />The subsoil or underlying layer is a pinkish gray fine sandy <br />loam with about 30 percent sandstone fragments. This extends to <br />bedrock. The soil is underlain by sandstone at a depth of 10 to 20 <br />inches. <br />This soil normally occurs on the canyon breaks and on slopes <br />just above canyon breaks. <br />Surface runoff is moderate.. Permeability is moderately rapid. <br />ldaterholding capacity is very low. Erosion hazard is moderate. <br />Included with this soil in mapping is about 10 percent M2 and <br />small areas of R0. There are also about 10 percent inclusions of <br />rock outcrop. <br />This soil is used mainly for range. Some small areas are in- <br />eluded in cultivated fields. <br />Vegetation consists of pinon-juniper, sand drop seed and sage- <br />brush and indian rice grass. <br />. ... ~., <br /> <br />
