zoz <br />• Site: 5MF346 (Fig. 5). <br />Site Type: Open lithic. <br />r~cation: NW;SE;, Sec. 21, TSn, R92w; UTM Zone 13, E268,820m., N4,477,400m. <br />adjacent to Tract 8. <br />Description: 5MF346 is located on the west side of a high ridge between Ral- <br />ston Draw and Milk Creek, in a juniper grove. The elevation of the site is <br />7200 ft. (2,195 m), The nearest water is in an unnamed tributary of Milk <br />Creek 200 m. to the west. Vegetation around the site includes sagebrush, <br />grasses, and juniper. <br />The site is composed of a wide scatter of flakes along the ridge top <br />and down the western slope a short distance. Most of the flakes were observed <br />on the margin of the juniper grove, covering an area 20 by 50 m. No visible <br />~ features or concentrations of artifacts were observed. Lithic materials ob- <br />• served consist of decortication and retouch flakes, a core, and one undiag- <br />nostic scraper fragment. There is no visible disturbance, although a jeep <br />trail passes close by. <br />Diagnostic Artifacts: Core, Type I. <br />evaluation: 5MF346 lacks potential for yielding information important to pre- <br />history and should not be nominated to the NRHP, No further action is re- <br />quired at the site. <br /> <br />
