Grab samples shall be collected a[ outfall 002b, prior [o entering the Work Area Pond, once each consecutive discharge episode from outfa11002b until three saznples have been collected, regazdless of whether dischazge occurs at the [ime from the Work Area Pond (outfall 002a - tlte dischazge [o Taylor Creek). The pertnittee shall submi[ [he results of each sample se[ within 45 days after the sample dale under sepazate cover to the address specified in Pan I.E.1. C. DEFIIVTTIONS OF TERMS 1. "Composite' sample is a minimum of four grab samples collec[ed a[ equally spaced [wo hour intervals and proportioned according [o flow. 2. "Con[inuous" measurement, is a meastrement obtained from an automatic recording device which continually measures provides measurements. 3. 'Daily Maximum limitation" means the limitation for this pazame[er shall be applied as an instantaneous maximum (or, for pH or DO, instantaneous minimum) value. The instantaneous value is defined as the analytical result of any individual saznple. DMRs shall include the maximum (and/or minimum) of all instantaneous values within [he calendaz month. Any instantaneous value beyond the noted daily maximum limitation for the indicated pazameter shall be considered a violation of this permit. 4. 'Grab" sample, is a single 'dip and take" sample so as to be representative of the pazameter being monitored. 5. "La-sim" measurement is defined as a single reading, observation or measurement taken in the field at the point of discharge. 6. "Uatan[aneous" measuremen[ is a single reading, observation, or measurement performed on site using existing monitoring facilities. 7. "N[on[hly measuremen[ frequency'. Only one sample is required [o be collec[ed [luring the calendar month. The sample ma.y be collec[ed a[ any [ime during the calendaz month if a continual dischazge occurs. If the discharge is intermitten[, Then only one sample shall be collec[ed during the portion of the month that discharge occurs. Additional samples may be collec[ed a[ the permittee's discretion. Al] samples shall be repotted on the Discharge Monitoring Report. 8. "Quatterly measurement frequency'. Only one sample is required to be collected during [he calendar gttarter. The sample ma.y be collected a[ any [ime during the calendaz gttarter if a continual dischazge occurs. If the discharge is intermitten[, them only one sample shall be collected during the portion of the quaver tha[ dischazge occurs. Additional samples may be collected a[ the permittee's discretion. AlI samples shall be repotted [on the Dischar.;e Monitoring Report.
