<br />STREAMFLOW DEPLETION <br />OPERATIONS CONSUMPTION <br />Water is consumed by the Empire Energy operation for three (3) primary <br />purposes. These are: <br />• Drinking water <br />e Office, shop, and bath house facilities <br />• Dust suppression <br /> <br />• <br />Drinking Water <br />Drinking water is obtained from the No. 5 Mine Well and the No. 9 Mine <br />Well. Water from the No. 5 Mine Well comes from the Trout Creek <br />Sandstone, and water from the No. 9 Mine Well comes from the Twentymile <br />Sandstone. <br />Office, Shop, and Bath House Facilities <br />Water consumed by the office, shop, and bath house facilities is <br />obtained from the No. 5 Mine Well. <br />Dust Suppression <br />Water consumed for surface road dust suppression is obtained from the <br />No. 4 Mine Well (abandoned Wise Hill No. 4 Mine). Water is consumed for <br />dust suppression approximately 4 months/year, 2 days/week. <br />Consumption from Wells <br />The following is an estimate of the quantity of water consumed yearly <br />from the No. 5, No. 9, and No. 4 Mine Wells. <br />-2- <br />
