Therefore, water loss due to <br />evaporation from sedimentation ponds is considered to be insignificant. <br />• Coal Processing Consumption <br />Empire Energy has no coal processing facilities. Therefore, there is no <br />streamflow depletion due to coal processing. <br />Ventilation Consumption <br />The Empire Energy Mine site is located in an area of low humidity. It <br />is apparent that the air leaving the mine has a higher relative humidity <br />than the air entering. Therefore, some water used for dust suppression <br />underground evaporates and is lost through ventilation. Empire Energy <br />has estimated this loss to be 17,204,000 per year. <br />Ventilation Consumption <br />Mine Balance = 550,000 cfm <br />• Intake Air = 44°F 20% Saturation <br />Air Density = 0.0626 lb/cu-ft <br />-3- <br />
