Cont~on Ch1LRB 112 Permit Application
Agile Stone Syalenu, Inc.
especially granitic rock, aze generally highly erosive and lack nutrients. Please
describe how you will be able to use fines successfully as a plant growth medium.
These materials can usually only be used successfully if they are placed on a
relatively level surface and aze highly amended with organic matter. If this
material is used in fills, where will it be used?
The applicant has committed to test an admixture of plant fines and topsoil.
The results from such tests will be reviewed jointly by the applicant and the
Division of Wildlife. If appropriate and suitable, the applicant will then
augment the available topsoil with such fines but only if it will be successful
as a growth media.
14. For all non portable buildings, provide information regarding the type of material
they will be constructed of, the size of the building and the dimensions and
materials used for footings, floors and foundations, including whether or not rebar
will be used. This information is needed for bond calculation purposes. Provide
this information for the scale, and scale house also.
All building designs, dimensions and materials are discussed in Exhibit D.
] 5. What is the name of the county road that accesses the permit azea? Name the road
on your plan map, and if it is within 200 feet of the proposed affected land list it
as such in the appropriate exhibit, and describe how it will be protected from
damage by the mining operation. Is this road the same existing road you mention
that will be upgraded to two-way traffic from the property boundary to the
processing plant?
The county road is # 157. The road is named on the maps. The country road
stops 200' prior to the permit boundary on the south side of the railroad
right of way. The road will be protected from the mining operation through
provisions in the applicant's county CUP. The county has required that the
applicant maintain and upgrade the road to handle any use by the applicant.
County road 157 will be upgraded to 2 way traffic over a portion of it's
approximate 500' length. The bridge will be upgraded to handle the
required weights and remain single lane.
16. Please provide the same information for the culverUroad crossing of Tallahassee
Creek for the Sandstone Quarry as was requested for item 3 above. If this
structure is in the creek channel and requires Army Corps of Engineers approval,
provide the Division a copy of the plans and specifications, as provided to the
Army Corps.
